Expertise

IFRS 17, IFRS 9 & Solvency II

Regulatory programmes fail at the junction between actuarial models, accounting schemes and reporting systems. I work at that junction: qualified in accounting, trained in actuarial science, and hands-on with the production systems.

The problem

Multi-GAAP reporting under deadline: IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 measurement feeding Solvency II QRTs, statutory accounts and group consolidation, each with its own calendar and controls.

The technical decisions (CSM amortisation, ECL staging, transition options) are made by people who rarely own the production consequences. The result: dry-runs that slip, reconciliations that fail, and auditors without an audit trail.
